Disconnect the QuickBooks Agent
QuickBooks Agent · Effective October 11, 2026
Disconnecting the QuickBooks Agent (the "App") from QuickBooks Online ends its access. Once disconnected, the App can no longer read or change anything in our QuickBooks company.
To disconnect from QuickBooks Online
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an administrator of ATC Mechanical Corp.
- Open Apps, then My apps.
- Find QuickBooks Agent and choose Disconnect.
The App can also be disconnected from within the App itself: on the computer that runs it, run disconnect (disconnect.bat on Windows or disconnect.command on a Mac). This revokes its access with Intuit.
What happens to the App's data
Disconnecting revokes the App's QuickBooks access immediately, and its stored sign-in can no longer be used. Disconnecting from within the App also deletes that sign-in and any changes still awaiting approval from the computer, as described in the Privacy Policy. Records already in QuickBooks are not affected.
To reconnect
On the computer that runs the QuickBooks Agent, run sign_in: double-click sign_in.bat on Windows or sign_in.command on a Mac. Your browser opens QuickBooks; sign in as an administrator, choose ATC Mechanical Corp and click Connect. Each computer that uses the App signs in separately.
